About Me

Gigi is a tenacious and highly skilled attorney with years of experience litigating and mediating complex, high asset, family and commercial disputes before trial and appellate courts.

Her robust domestic relations practice includes navigating clients through divorce, parental rights and custody issues, post-judgment enforcement and modification, and prenuptial and postnuptial negotiations. She works closely with her clients to understand and meet their unique needs by finding resolutions that re-establish financial security and protect their children’s best interests. Her extensive experience as a commercial trial attorney also makes her particularly adept at managing the financial complexities that arise when a divorcing couple’s assets include a business and real estate.

Gigi is also regularly appointed to serve as Guardian ad Litem to make recommendations to Courts about children. She approaches this aspect of her practice with commitment to the children’s best interests and the importance of understanding the underlying facts and remaining objective.

She also has considerable experience mediating and serving as a neutral in both family and civil litigation matters. Her extensive experience in these areas allows her to understand complex legal issues and problem solve, allowing the parties to move past litigation.

Gigi is a graduate of Duke University and Columbia Law School. She is a Past President of the Maine State Bar Association and the Cumberland County Bar Association. She served as Maine State Delegate of the American Bar Association and Co-chair of the MSBA Women’s Law Section. She was also a long-term member of the Local Rules Advisory Committee for the United States District Court of Maine and the Maine Bar Foundation, Coffin Fellowship Committee. She also served on the School Board for Maine School Administrative District 51 (Cumberland/North Yarmouth) and chaired the District’s finance committee.

Her skills as an advocate are well-respected by her peers, being named a Best Lawyer and Super Lawyer for multiple years.
